These are the press releases we've issued over the last year. You may want to search for topics by keyword.

Bad News, Good News from what occurred July 4, 2009

The Bad News is the body and front of the chassis of my favorite race car (at least up until now) is destroyed, the Good News is that by the grace of God and the fact my chassis was a high-quality chassis built by Louis Zufall I'm alive, and not paralized.

UPDATE: Due to a bad crash at Mountain Park Dragway; Clay City, Kentucky July 4, 2009 we will be unable to complete the 2009 season as planned.  Once we are able to put together a new body, chassis, and etc we will update our planned schedule for 2010.
A description of what happened, and my reply with some clarification of what occurred are located at: http://www.promodzone.com/showthread.php?t=16876
also friends have requested a list of parts they can assist with, which is located at:

Marvin Blaney runs over 200 MPH!

(9-14-2007) DELAWARE, OH -
Delaware, Ohio resident Marvin Blaney ran a 6.996 Elapsed Time at 200.23 MPH during qualifying at the IHRA Suzuki Motor City Nationals in Milan, MI on the weekend of August 24th and 25th.

Marvin qualified 13th out of the 48 car field and was one of only eight Top Sportsman cars to run in excess of 200 MPH.

Marvin plans to return to Milan, Michigan next week (this coming weekend) to compete in the completion of the Motor City Nationals.

The Milan, Michigan area received over 11 inches of rain over several days prior to the event and more than an additional inch during the weekend so the storm sewers were full and there wasn't anywhere for the water to drain off. Due to this, the event was continued to Sept. 21, 22, and 23.

Marvin Blaney owns and competes in the Top Sportsman class with a 1990 Camaro Z28 (originally build as a Pro Stock 1988 Camaro IROC-Z), and is assisted by his wife and crew chief Cathy Blaney.

Sponsorship opportunities to advertise your business are still available for this race, and the upcoming season next year. For further information about these opportunities you may contact Marvin or Cathy at 740-524-1600.

Here is why we missed the NHRA Division 3 meet at Norwalk and just barely made it to US 131, Martin, MI for the IHRA Division 3 meet.

James Wyatt (Big City Race Cars) did fabrication work, body work, and a completely new paint job so that we could put the 34 1/2 tires back on without them rubbing (instead of the 33 1/2 tires we've been running). He also hand fabricated the dual parachute basket, ground effects on the rocker panels, and rear quarters to replace our old ones, rehung the doors, closed up and aligned all body panel gaps and body lines, cut the Millenium II scoop down 1 1/2 inches, and etc.

The car was originally built by Louis Zufall of Zufall Race Cars in New Port Richey, FL.
